Is my image uploaded?
No. The mosaic is computed on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere β which matters when the whole point is hiding something sensitive.
Is the mosaic applied at full resolution?
Yes. Your brush strokes map to the original pixels, so the downloaded PNG is full quality with the selected areas pixelated.
Can someone reverse a mosaic?
Pixelation destroys information permanently. Still, for truly sensitive data (ID numbers, passwords), a solid black box is safer β bigger block size achieves the same.
